NSYS, the UK-based IT company known for integrating software and robotics in the pre-owned mobile device market, is officially entering Japan. Partnering with NewsedTech, NSYS is introducing its automated inspection robot Reeva to help local businesses streamline smartphone and tablet grading, testing, and data erasure.
Japan’s second-hand smartphone market has been growing rapidly in recent years. High device prices and rising interest in sustainability have encouraged both businesses and consumers to choose quality pre-owned devices. But even with this growth, key processes like inspection, grading, and data wiping are still mostly manual—leading to inconsistent quality, mistakes, and limits on how much business can scale.
That’s where Reeva comes in. This small robot automates visual grading, functional testing, and secure data erasure. According to reports from other markets, it can process up to eight times more devices than manual inspection while ensuring consistent, reliable results. For refurbishers, this means higher quality, lower costs, and the ability to grow operations faster.
Gregory Glazman, CEO of NSYS, emphasized: “Our solutions are trusted by companies in over 70 countries. Bringing Reeva to Japan allows us to share the benefits of automated mobile device processing with a new market that’s increasingly focused on sustainability and efficiency.”
NSYS has been actively strengthening its presence across Asia, working closely with partners throughout the region. The company views the Asian market as one of the most promising and rapidly developing in the global mobile device ecosystem and believes strongly in its long-term growth. Entering Japan is a strategic part of this wider regional expansion.
NewsedTech will provide installation, setup, and ongoing support locally, making it easy for Japanese businesses to adopt Reeva without disruptions. Looking ahead, NSYS plans to expand its presence throughout the country, helping stores, inspection centers, and refurbishing facilities optimize their operations.
Beyond Japan, NSYS continues to develop its ecosystem of products trusted worldwide—from diagnostics tools to AI-powered grading systems—supporting companies in managing the full lifecycle of mobile devices. With this expansion, NSYS reinforces its mission: combining innovative technology with sustainability to create a more reliable and efficient mobile device industry.
